ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Glow Kit

Good Evening you beautiful people,

I am so happy, I think I may be a little delirious! I have finally got my hands on ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Glow Kit. My uncle and aunt very kindly bought it from America for me. I am currently stuck in bed, due to a knee injury and healing is around 6 weeks boo. However this little box of magic has made my day and lifted my mood.

It comes tastefully packaged in a sleeve, on the reverse you have the name of the colour shades. In this kit you get 4 colours, Hard Candy, Mimosa, Starburst and Crushed Pearl. They are all stunning and have the most gorgeous shimmer.

As it is the evening, I will do a swatch for you all tomorrow so you can see the colours in their full glory. This kit is essentially used for highlighting and giving a very natural glow. You can combine two colours to further emphasize your cheekbones and decolletage. You can use it separately too, on your eyelids. I can't wait to use my kit and hyper excited. A beauty lovers must have in my humble opinion.

So back to resting my leg, however I now have a big smile on my face :)

Super Hair Oil Mask

Good Evening your beauties,

My daughter wants luscious locks like Rapunzal, as it is winter the elements have played havoc with her hair. So I devised a super oil mask with Mimi, we placed coconut oil, then argan oil and finally added castor oil. We mixed them all up and applied through Mimi's hair. I gave her scalp a good massage too as I could see it was a bit flaky. It was great fun making the mask with Mimi she loved our little experiment.

I then plaited her hair, will wash it out tomorrow morning. Will let you know if our super oil mask worked wonders. Happy dreams x

Lush is Lush

Good Evening you beauties,

It is Friday yay! So earlier today I went to Lush in Windsor I wanted to purchase a hair mask that I keep hearing is incredible, it is called H'suan wen hua. What also drew me into getting this mask was that I could apply it to dry hair. I find it a bit annoying to wash hair apply mask and wash again. Made with free range eggs, bananas, avacado, bay leaf infusion and cinnamon leaf oil it claims to strengthen hair. I will let you know in a month if it worked for me.

What I love about Lush is the amazing scent that hits as one approaches the shop. In addition to that I love the staff members. They are always so attentive and really positive.

Today my sales assistant helped pick out 3 products that I am going to try before I buy.

Ayesha Face Mask - I told her I  have been looking for a mask that would brighten and tighten my skin. She suggested this one. I tried it today and seriously this is tdf! I could feel my skin tighten and it looks so radiant. I will be purchasing the full size in the very near future.

Super balm scalp treatment - My scalp has been super dry, so I really need a product that will nourish it. She took me over and I placed some on my hand, it is quite dense so I was a bit sceptical. She advised me to apply it on my scalp and then have a shower. I haven't tried it yet, will let you know once I do.

Lush is a fab brand, love their morals and ethics. I feel delighted after a visit to Lush, the staff enhance the whole shopping experience by their tremendously positive attitude.

Getting to the root of dry, damaged hair

Hello beautiful people,

This week the most frequently asked question was, how to combat dry, damaged, over treated hair and hair loss. I have been suffering with similar issues So I decided to look into the root of the problem and provide some simple, easy solutions.

Image result for images of fine brittle damaged hair

To start with it is winter and these elements play havoc with our hair especially if you have dry hair to start with. We can't do much about mother nature, we can minimize the damage by executing a few simple tips.

  • Cut down the amount of times you wash your hair each week, even just getting the hair wet can lead to more breakage. When the hair shaft gets wet it swells, makes it more elastic hence more prone to damage and breakage. Wash your hair less and use a dry shampoo in between for the perfect solution.
  • Brushing wet hair causes damage to your hair too. Use a wide tooth comb and a detangle spray to remove tangles.
  • Use a good shampoo and conditioner to wash your hair. The one that has been recommended is a brand Kerastase. Here is a great offer on at the moment http://www.lookfantastic.com/brands/kerastase/kerastase-bathe-shampoo.list

  • Blow drying, curling irons and straighteners are a big contributing factor to dry brittle hair. Lessen the impact by using a heat protector spray or a leave in conditioner.
  • Coconut oil has been used for thousands of years for grooming hair. It has many beneficial properties that ensure great looking locks. Due to its low molecular weight it penetrates deep into the hair shaft, providing protein to both damaged and healthy hair. Use at least once a week to really nourish your hair.
  • Hair loss is normally the result of low iron levels, as women we are more prone to iron deficiency. So keep on top by taking multivitamins everyday.

I hope you enjoyed these simple recommendations, if you have any more leave them in the comments below please. I will be doing all of the above and will let you know how I get on in a few weeks time.

Beauty Blogs Jan/Feb

Hello my lovlies!

It is so  great to be back and blogging again. Over the next few weeks I have some blogs coming up, addressing some of the most commonly asked beauty questions.

How to conceal dark circles and under eye bags

Many of us have dark circles and under eye bags, I certainly have the jumbo Chanel handbag size ones. Since becoming a mother 5 years ago they have earned that prestigious label. I have come across a revolutionary product. Darlings this really does work, it knocks years of my face and I no longer resemble a drained and washed out zombie. I will do a step by step tutorial, and you can see the difference it really does make.

How to colour match foundation

This very important stage of your makeup is one of the most crucial parts of achieving a flawless and radiant look. There are a number of steps that have to be just right for the perfect colour match. I will give you a guide on how to acquire a foundation that suits your skin type and undertone. I am getting a in depth session with a senior Estee Lauder consultant.

How to choose a red lipstick shade

I simply love red lipstick, it transforms how I feel instantly. It is such a confident, bright and alluring colour. My blog will have my personal favorite red lippys and a guide to choose the right shade for your tone.

If you have any questions that you would like me to blog about, please comment below or send an email.

Goodnight x

10 day flatter stomach challenge using only 3 ingredients and 6 steps.

Good evening,

I thought I will share a secret with you all today, how to get a flatter stomach in just 10 days, using only 3 ingredients. Yes you read that right my lovelies. We have a group on Facebook and we have been  comparing our before baby bodies to our post baby bodies. Majority have gained weight, so most of us are starting a low carb diet and dong gentle exercise like walking. However the problem area for most of the women is the stomach. Unless we have millions in the bank, personal trainers nutritionists and chefs we will have this issue with our beautiful bellies.

So sit up ladies and take note, this is very easy and it really works. I am setting a challenge do this religiously for ten days. Leave in comments how many inches you loose please.  I will not be putting my waist size up, however  I will also comment on how many inches I loose. A group of my mummy friends and I are starting this Monday coming. You are more than welcome to join us.

To start the 10 day flatter stomach challenge you will need, Manuka Honey at least 10+ UMF (unique manuka factor), cinnamon powder and boiled water.

This drink should be prepared at night time and once you drink it you can not eat or drink anything else.

Step 1

Boil the water and pour into a mug

Step 2

Add 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and stir.

Step 3

Set the mug aside to cool down. You must do this because if you add the manuka honey in boiling water your killing all the good nutrients

Step 4

Add a teaspoon of Manuka Honey and stir.

Step 5

Drink only half of the magical brew and place the remaining in your fridge overnight.

Step 6

In the morning before you eat or drink anything else. Retrieve your mug from the fridge, give it a good stir and reheat in your microwave or pan on stove. Drink the remainder and repeat for ten days.

This really does work and it is so simple.  Remember you must follow all steps and do not eat or drink after drinking the night time half a mug. Do not eat or drink before the mornings drink.

You can purchase Manuka honey at all leading supermarkets, the best deal has been found in Aldi for 10+ UMF for £4.29.

There are many other benefits of this drink, you will have more energy and not feel sluggish, your immune system will become stronger and you will generally feel more healthy.

I  look forward to hearing how you all get on. Good luck and I hope we all say goodbye to our muffin tops.

Wow the best hydrating cream ever!

A couple of weeks ago a local mummy friend asked our local mums what would they recommend as a good moisturiser for her hands and body. I followed this post closely, as I have suffered with dry skin for quite a while too.
Many mums replied and I was shocked to see how many mums also had similar issues. An impressive list was compiled, and I scrutinised  the recommendations.
The one that kept cropping up was Waleeda Skin Food, so I headed to google to search for this miracle cream. I found the best deal on Amazon as did some of the other mummies.

A face moisturiser that also came up was the Waleda Calendula  Baby Face Cream. Some of the mums were using it on their own face. I was a bit apprehensive about this cream, however  I ordered this too. They are very affordable and I took that into account and clicked buy.

I have used both creams for the last four days and I am completely blown away by how good they are. My skin is hydrated, youthful and very radiant. They are quite rich so you only need a small amount. They smell wonderful and I have baby soft skin all over.
I am so excited about these products, not only do they work the added bonus they are very budget friendly. A must buy not only for mums but for anyone who wants to recapture younger, healthier and luminous skin. Do not wait, do not hesitate, buy now and please do let me know how you got on with them.

Love Babbling On xoxo
